Creating a Safer Truck Weighing Experience
Hydraulic Grain Dump Scale Removal
If you’re not in the agriculture business, you may have never seen a hydraulic grain dump scale. These behemoths used massive hydraulic cylinders to tip and empty semis full of grain into underground bens. As you can probably guess, lifting thousands of pounds in the air isn’t the safest practice. Because of the risk, most facilities have stopped using the lifting feature completely. As a result, many businesses are left with oversized scales that require a ton of extra maintenance.
Recently, our team coordinated the removal of one of these monsters to make way for a safer modern VTC251 truck scale. The scale’s massive weight and size make it a tricky procedure. Click the video to see how we pulled it off.
