Eliminate Junction Boxes
It’s no secret that junction boxes are one of the leading causes of truck scale downtime. Many manufactures have worked to redesign the junction box, but despite their best efforts, junction boxes are still on the most vulnerable parts of a truck scale. Our partners at Mettler Toledo decided to take a completely different approach. Instead of trying to improve the junction box’s design, Mettler Toledo created a revolutionary new type of digital loadcell technology that completely eliminates the need for junction boxes. This leap in technology was made possible by digitizing the weight data inside of the loadcell and creating a daisy chain.
Lightning and Water Protection
The specially designed lightning protection system, StrikeShield™, helps prevent costly downtime by using multiple levels of protection to safeguard your entire vehicle scale system: load cells, cables, and the terminal. It is the only system that has been tested by third-party laboratories and withstood multiple lightning strikes.
In addition to the lightning protection, the PDX load cell is hermetically sealed and completely Submersible. With an IP68/IP69K rating, this system includes the fully welded enclosure and watertight connectors ensure that a flooded scale won’t destroy your maintenance budget or give you an unnecessary insurance claim.
Conversion Kits Available
