As they age, a pH Meter’s electrode coating naturally changes and loses accuracy. Even the most stable electrodes are affected by general use and time. This is why all processes requiring accurate pH readings, must have regular pH meter calibration.
As part of our ever-extending scope, Premier scales & systems offers ISO/IEC 17025 accredited pH meter and pH reader calibrations services. All pH calibration services can be performed on-site using our mobile lab unit or performed in our state-of-the-art calibration laboratory.
A standard pH Meter has both a hydrogen sensing electrode and a reference electrode. When plunged into a solution, these sensing electrodes can detect the change of voltage based on the activity of hydrogen ions within the solution, and the reference electrode produces a constant voltage. The meter then compares the two voltages and translates that difference into a pH value. We measure pH values on a scale of 0 to 14. The closer the number is to 0, the more acidic, and the closer the number is to 14, the more basic. The number 7, on the pH scale, represents neutral solutions which are neither basic nor acidic.

Being around for a half-century is no accident. Premier was built on the philosophy that each of our customers deserves the highest level of integrity, respect and customer services. Furthermore, we believe our success comes through the success of our partners. For this reason, we do things little different than other calibration service and metrology companies. Each of our pH Meter solutions are designed with your company’s best interest and goal in mind, not our bottom line. Because of this mentality, we work more like an extension of your team rather than an outside contractor. In addition, Premier is also home to the area’s largest accredited calibration scopes. In short, our full-service approach means one company, one point of contact, and one invoice for any metrology need. You can rely on Premier for accurate results that do more than keep you in compliance but also increase the life and efficiency of your pH Meters.
We take the guesswork out of pH Meter calibration scheduling and budgeting by offering Preventative Maintenance Agreements (PMAs) for our customer’s metrology equipment. For each PMA, our staff will work directly with your team to create a custom pH Meter calibration PMA designed to identify minor problems before they become major issues and to preserve your equipment’s performance. In other words, whether it’s a weekly 10-point check or biannual equipment calibration, we meticulously create each PMA to fit your company’s specific goals and budget.
It is our promise to treat each customer with integrity and respect. To this end, our goal is to design solutions with your company’s best interest in mind, not our bottom line.
