Summary of Position:

We are looking for a mechanically adept calibration technician to join our Louisville team. As a member of the area’s leading calibration team, you will be responsible for the on-site installation, calibration, and maintenance of industrial weighing equipment and other measurement devices. This position requires no prior measurement equipment experience, only a willingness to learn. Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily required documentation
  • Test and Calibrate customer equipment following procedures and technical requirements
  • Inspect, repair, and adjust equipment within specified tolerances
  • Record calibration data and prepare calibration certificates
  • Understand factors that contribute to inaccurate measurements
  • Verify calibration data is correct and accurate
  • Repeatedly move 50 lbs test weights and transport carts across a facility
  • Comply with all safety training
  • Provide customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions

Qualifications

  • Strong mechanical, electronic and/or mechanical background in an industrial environment.
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving history
  • Ability to work in an on-call rotation and overtime as needed.
  • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, technical writing ability preferred
  • Must be able to troubleshoot, align and optimize precision equipment.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Must be dependable and have a solid work ethic
  • Must be able to pass technical proficiency assessments
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and consent to a random drug testing program
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; military experience in measurement and diagnostic equipment or secondary education in a technical discipline.
  • Operate a computer and read procedures from a monitor or printouts.
  • Computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must have at least 3-years of industrial maintenance or calibration experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to frequently move test equipment up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to move carts transporting up to 1,000 pounds of test equipment.
  • Occasionally lift equipment greater than 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to stand, sit, or stoop for for long periods
  • Able to work inside a lab, office, and various manufacturing environments.
  • Able to work outside in various weather conditions. (heat, cold, rain…)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
