What is Calibration?
Calibration is the process of comparing the measurement or value produced by one instrument to a known standard. The standard can be another measuring device, an instrument that can produce the quantity being measured such as voltage, or a physical object such as a 10kg weight.
Note: All standards used in calibration procedures should be traceable back to the national standard.
Why is Calibration Important?
Calibration ensures an instrument’s accuracy and ability to report the correct measurements. No matter how well you take care of an instrument, it will eventually drift outside of acceptable tolerances for your procedure and report inaccurate results.

All systems will only run efficiently in certain defined parameters.
